Happy 2nd birthday to my blog Strawberry Spider!
Last night a few friends and I celebrated the birthday with chocolate cake and green tea rolls.
The cake recipe is a plain butter cake with 100g melted chocolate mixed in after beating the sugar and butter. The icing is a chocolate butter icing. The green tea rolls were from Breadtop!
Moment #3: Japan.
In December 2011 I headed to Japan on my first overseas trip on my own, in a foreign speaking country no less! It was great that I could photos and all sorts on tumblr every now and again as I travelled all over Japan.

Moment #2: Po and Sacer Became Friends.
After drawing lots of pokemon art, fairies and characters from books, I actually managed to develop my own characters with their own stories. I’m very proud that I managed to come up with Po the star on exchange and his glum friend Sacer! Since creating them I’ve made a host of new characters, such as Aurora and Mizu. Maybe a new moment will be writing down and sharing their story.

‘Mums that I got as a present for no reason. It’s so lovely getting potted plants as a gift rather than cut flowers. These still look great a few days after I got them - and will continue to for years!

I was going shopping at Myer and one of the make up counters was having free make up sessions so I thought I’d give it a try! Having someone else do my make up reminded me of doing ballet.
I think the result was very bold and pretty - I especially liked the golden copper eyeshadow “Bronx.” Buut my eyes started to feel itchy from the make up so I shall stick with my safe make up brands that I know I’m not allergic to.

I tried to make their moves flow from panel to panel, which ended up causing a lot of weird lighting. (And Po losing a hand). Putting in speech bubbles is so fun!
